Oriental Mindoro- There are 24 hired Enumerators (ENs) attended the last 3-day training for the Habagat Special Validation from February 6-8, 2013 in Parang Beach Resort, Calapan City.

The 3-day activity is a continuation of the series of training conducted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IV-MiMaRoPa thru the National Household Targeting Unit in preparation for the household assessment for the families affected by the southwest monsoon, Habagat last August 2012.

There are 6,075 projected households (HH) target for validation in the municipality of Baco and 431 households in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

Affected areas to be validated are based from the report submitted by Local Government Units to the DSWD and the Disaster Response Operation, Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC).

Enumerators are now deployed to generate data. They will be using the Household Need Assessment Form (HNAF) to assess the present household condition after the Habagat while Household Assessment Form (HAF) HAF will be administered to assess HH which are not covered in the nationwide enumeration in 2009.

Habagat Special Validation is expected to be completed before the election ban on the third week of March 2013. ###
