ERMITA, MANILA– The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IV- MiMaRoPa conducted a three-day training for administrative staff that aims to capacitate and enhance skills to produce and deliver better and faster outputs.

“This is part of the Department intensification of capacity building for internal staff to complete the 16-hour training per year,” DSWD Regional Director Wilma D. Naviamos said.

The training which was held in Best Western Hotel last May 14-16, 2014 was attended by 32 regional and Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) office-based staff.

It emphasized the importance of administrative staff and the roles that they play in the organization.

Stress management was among discussed during the training where participants were taught on how to cope with work related stress.

“Nakakatuwa na may ganitong initiative ang DSWD dahil mas nararamdaman ko ang aking halaga at narerealize din ng management ang aming effort,” Convergence staff Sonia Mañebo said.

The skills enhancement training will be an annual activity of the Department to continuously support and help staff meet the increasing demands of the projects and programs.###
