MALATE, MANILA- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Mimaropa is now hiring 22 Area Coordinators, 102 Area Supervisors and 382 enumerators to facilitate the Listahanan validation of poor families in Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan provinces.

“Hired staff will play vital roles in this validation and finalization phase of the Listahanan cycle. They will be deployed in the barangays to address undercoverage or households who were not previously interviewed, through the On-Demand Application (ODA),’’ Listahanan Field Coordinator Ernie Jarabejo said.

ODA is part of the validation processes which gives chance to families to be included in the list of poor and non-poor families.

Field staff will also accept and resolve grievances from the concerned individuals and families regarding the initial results of household data collection in coordination with the Local Verification Committee (LVC) of the municipality and the Convergence Municipal Action Teams, composed of various municipal field-based staff and other stakeholders, Jarabejo added.

Listahanan is a mechanism of the Department in the selection of poor families for government’s social protection programs which started in 2009.  Early this year, the second round of household assessment has  started, which covered more than half a million households regionwide.

Applicants must have completed at least 2-years of college education, experience in household assessment or other surveys, physically fit and willing to be assigned in remote areas.

Validation of results will start on  October 2015 and is expected to be completed on November 2015.

Applications may be sent thru e-mail to fo4b@dswd.gov.ph  or submitted personally at the Social Welfare and Development Team office in the MiMaRoPa provinces.###
