CALAPAN CITY- For the purpose of expanding the delivery of social protection programs in this city, the Local Government of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Data Sharing of list of poor households with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MiMaRoPa.

With this agreement, Listahanan database, a mechanism of identifying poor families in need of social protection program and services, will be shared to the stakeholders.

List of non-poor and poor households or families identified from the 2015 household assessment result will be provided. Sectoral data such as senior citizens, children and youth, women, person with disability and Indigenous Peoples are also available.

“To ensure that the data is used for its intended purposes, the Local Government Unit will submit a data utilization report on how the list of poor are utilized,” Regional Coordinator Ernie Jarabejo said.

Calapan and Puerto Princesa, the two urban cities in MiMaRoPa have now both signed agreements with DSWD.

To date, 13 LGUs in Oriental Mindoro forged partnership with the Department and 78 total of MOAs from various national, local government, Civil Society Organizations and academe regionwide.

Aside from data sharing,  LGUs will support the advocacy in popularizing Listahanan in their respective areas said Jarabejo. ###
