MALATE, Manila- The Social Protection Support Initiative (SPSI) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA sets a ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and turn-over of Information and Technology (IT) equipment for the towns of Occidental Mindoro on October 12, 2016 in Manila City.

SPSI is a convergence project of DSWD, Department of Health (DOH) and, Philippine Health insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). It aims to help targeted poor focusing the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries attain an improved level of well-being and economic status.

IT equipment  to be given are composed of 22 android tablets, 12 printers, 12 network  routers, 21 USB flash drives  and 21 powerbanks.

Recipients of the said equipment are the 11 towns in the province of Occidental Mindoro: Abra de Ilog, Calintaan, Looc, Lubang, Magsaysay, Mamburao, Paluan, Rizal, Sablayan, San Jose and Sta. Cruz.

Meanwhile, DSWD Secretary Judy Taguiwalo, DOH Secretary, Paulyn Jean B. Rosell-Ubial and PhilHealth  OIC President  Ramon F. Aristoza, Jr will attend to grace the event.   Governor Mario Gene J. Mendiola and the  eleven local chief executives in Occidental Mindoro are also expected to be present. ###
