ICTMU head Angelito Montalbo discusses techniques on how to troubleshoot common computer problems.

MALATE, Manila- Participated by 25 administrative staff, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA conducted a three-day training on basic computer troubleshooting and data loss prevention on June 21-23, 2017.

The Information and Communication Management Technology Unit of the Department spearheaded the said training.

“This activity shall boost the information and communication technology (ICT) capability of the participants which is important in the day to day operations of the agency,” said Information Technology Officer Vincent James Valero.

He added that a highly skilled staff knowledgeable in ICT application translates to a smooth business operation that supports DSWD slogan of maagap at mabilis na serbisyo sa mamayan.

Topics include studying and fixing the common computer, printer, and network problems encountered and learning cloud storage application such as Google Drive, One Drive, drop box.

“The training helped me realized the importance of organizing my files and other records which are deemed vulnerable from loss and damage,” told one of the participants, Adriahn Bernulla.

Moreover, Bernulla confidently said that with his new learning, he can provide technical assistance to his workmates in fixing computer related errors. ###
