On November 28, 2017, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) awarded an 8m X 8m Abaca By-Products Processing Center to Tanikala ng Pagkakaisa Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TPMPC).

A total of Php 510,355.50 worth of materials and labor through SLP modalities, Skills Training and Cash for Building Livelihood Assets (CBLA), was granted to 38 beneficiaries of the said organization so that their dream of having a decent processing center will become a reality.

This livelihood intervention foresees an increase in sales in abaca slippers, bags and key chains. The center will also provide a safe shelter to the machineries and materials of the cooperative.

The turnover ceremony was attended by the DSWD Convergence, Barangay Local Government, the beneficiaries, and employees of TPMPC.
