MOGPOG, Marinduque — The DSWD MIMAROPA Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) penned a partnership with The Street Classroom in the recently held ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) conducted in Mogpog, Marinduque.

Assisted by 4Ps Provincial Link and Social Welfare Officer III Ms. Ami Esparcia, The Street Classroom Executive Director Kyle David Atienza signed the MOA where DSWD MIMAROPA and the former will work closely with the Pantawid Pamilya to reduce cases of students not attending school (NAS) in the province.

The Street Classroom is a youth volunteer organization that operates in Marinduque. Through its volunteers, the organization aims to maintain and/or bring learners [students] back to schools (formal and Alternative Learning System) through the conduct of tutorial sessions and outreach activities.

According to Esparcia, the 1-year partnership with The Street Classroom will create a big impact in preventing cases of children NAS as more 4Ps students will be reached through their help.

Through the help of the program partners from different sectors, the DSWD MIMAROPA Pantawid Pamilya aims to break the inter-generational cycle of poverty. Resources of partners were pooled and their expertise was tapped to provide the 4Ps beneficiaries more opportunities to unfold their human potential towards the improvement of their well-being. ###
