A DSWD staff administers interview to gather household profile as part of the standard process of LISTAHANAN.

MAMBURAO- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA has conducted a special household assessment to selected beneficiaries covering the municipalities of Abra de Ilog, Mamburao, Sta. Cruz, Paluan, and Sablayan in response to the request of the Occidental Mindoro Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.

“This assessment was conducted to make the LISTAHANAN database more inclusive to those selected households with special concerns and become potential beneficiaries of various social protection programs of the government such as Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps, Sustainable Livelihood Program or SLP, Social Pension, services of PhilHealth and to comply with the provision of Executive Order (EO) 867 s. 2010,” said LISTAHANAN Regional Coordinator Ernie Jarabejo.

EO 867 directs all national government agencies (NGAs) to adopt the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction or LISTAHANAN as a mechanism in identifying who and where the poor households are and who shall be the recipients of social protection programs nationwide.

The said activity is also in partnership with the Provincial Office of Governor Eduardo Gadiano through its Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Rosalina Lamoca, 76th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army headed by LtCol. Benvienido Hindang Jr. and Sablayan Municipal Police Station headed by Chief of Police Andres Tejerero.###
