AGUTAYA, Palawan — A former monitored child of DSWD Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from Palawan lands eight (8th) place in the recently held Social Workers Licensure Examination facilitated by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in February 2022.

Marissa Dondriano garnered an 82.60% score which made her bag the 8th place out of the 533 successful examinees nationwide.

“I’ve been exposed po sa reyalidad ng buhay. Galing din po ako sa hirap at kaya nga noong pinasok ko ang Social Work, sobrang sarap pala [sa pakiramdam] ang makatulong sa tulad mo rin na naghihikahos sa buhay,”, said Marissa when asked about her reason on deciding to take path to becoming a Social Worker.

The Dondriano family became a member of the Pantawid Pamilya in 2012 and currently resides at Brgy. Algeciras, Agutaya, Palawan.

According to Marissa, she is very thankful for the program as it helped her family in sustaining her education in college.

Aside from the conditional cash transfer from the program, Marissa is also an Expanded Students’ Grants-in-Aid Program for Poverty Alleviation (ESGPPA) recipient, a program of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) where eligible 4Ps beneficiaries are provided with financial assistance for their tertiary education.

“Sa mga kapwa ko po benepisyaryo ng 4Ps, patuloy lang po kayong mangarap. Patunay na po ako na hindi hadlang ang kahirapan kung ikay mag tiyaga at magsusumikap”, added by Marissa . ###
