Malate, Manila — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Land Bank of the Philippines, has started the distribution of cash grants through their cash cards worth ₱334,601,800.00 to the 22,359 household beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the MIMAROPA region on April 10, 2023.

The cash grants received by the beneficiaries covers the pay period 6 (P6) computed based on their compliance for the months of December 2022 and January 2023.

The DSWD continuously urges 4Ps beneficiaries to ensure that the grants are utilized only to improve the health and nutrition of the household and to supplement costs associated with the children’s schooling.

4Ps is a program of the national government implemented by the DSWD together with other national government agencies to include the Department of Health, Department of Education and Department of the Interior and Local Government, to name a few.

Beneficiaries are eligible for monetary assistance as long as the requirements for health, nutrition, and education are met. This includes enrolling and maintaining their school-aged children in school, providing pre- and postnatal care for mothers, providing regular and preventive check-ups for children aged 5 and below, administering deworming treatments to children aged 14 and below, and attending the monthly Family Development Session (FDS).

Aside from withdrawing their cash grants, 4P beneficiaries may also use their cash cards in establishments such as groceries, drug stores or supermarkets that accepts point-of-sale system payment.

The payout for this wave of cash assistance to the qualified 4Ps beneficiaries is intended to be completed on the 3rd week of April 2023.
