In line with the nationwide observance of National Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Month this June 2025, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office MIMAROPA, through its Information and Communications Technology Management Section (ICTMS), reaffirms its commitment to promoting digital literacy, strengthening cybersecurity awareness, and encouraging innovation in public service delivery.
As part of this month-long celebration, the Field Office conducted the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) Orientation today, June 2,2025 that featured resource speakers from the Cybersecurity Bureau of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) β MIMAROPA.
The speakers provided comprehensive discussions on PNPKI registration procedures, proper utilization, and best practices to uphold data privacy, secure digital transactions, and ensure the integrity of electronic communications within the government.
In conjunction with this, DSWD MIMAROPA also launched its government services assistance initiative. Representatives from PhilHealth and the Social Security System (SSS) were present at the Field Office to deliver on-site services, which included member registration and updating of records, contribution verification, and guidance on accessing and navigating their digital platforms.
The celebration will continue in the coming weeks with the participation of additional partner agencies.Β
On June 4 and 5, the Pag-IBIG Fund will be present at the Field Office to provide services related to membership, loan applications, savings programs, and access to their online platforms.Β
Meanwhile, on June 16, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) will also conduct an on-site visit to assist personnel with concerns on insurance benefits, retirement claims, and digital account management.
