Santa Cruz, Marinduque — Two young beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) have brought pride and honor to their school, community, and the entire Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) after excelling in the 2025 Division History Quiz Bee held last September 11, 2025, at Torrijos Poblacion Covered Court, in celebration of the 125th Year of the Battle of Pulang Lupa.

Bea M. Recto, a 4Ps child beneficiary from Barangay Ipil, Santa Cruz, emerged as champion of the prestigious competition, besting 57 contestants from across Marinduque. She proudly carried home a gold medal, a certificate of recognition, and a cash prize, marking a historic first-ever championship for Ipil National High School.

Joining her in this remarkable achievement is fellow 4Ps beneficiary Lea Monick R. Lincallo from Barangay Kamandugan, who also showcased her knowledge and determination by advancing to the difficult round of the contest.

This triumph of Bea and Lea is a shining testament to the talent, perseverance, and excellence of 4Ps children beneficiaries, proving that poverty is never a hindrance to success. Their achievement underscores the role of education as a powerful tool for empowerment and transformation—values deeply upheld by the 4Ps program.
