Quezon City — The National Family Congress 2025, with the theme “Pamilyang Pantawid: Iba’t Ibang Kulay ng Pag-unlad at Pag-asa,” became a celebration of resilience, unity, and hope for thousands of 4Ps families across the nation. Yet, among the many inspiring stories, one family from Occidental Mindoro rose to the spotlight — the Fugoso family, this year’s Regional Huwarang Pantawid Pamilya awardee.

During the congress, the family offered tokens deeply rooted in their culture: a Sarit, presented to 4Ps National Program Manager Director Gemma Gabuya, and a Siwayang, humbly handed to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. These gifts symbolized not only gratitude but also the dignity and cultural pride of 4Ps families who have turned challenges into opportunities.

The most emotional moment came when the Fugoso family was named National Champion for the Salaysay ng Buhay — chosen among 17 regional representatives from across the Philippines.
