On August 29, 2025, a young girl from Sitio Malbog, Barangay Manhac, Looc, Romblon stood proudly on stage as she was crowned Regional Exemplary 4Ps Child of MIMAROPA. Her name, Raiza Mae Landero Montaño — a name that now shines as a symbol of hope, perseverance, and faith for the youth of her community and beyond.

Born on July 26, 2011, Raiza grew up in a simple household anchored in love, faith, and dreams for a brighter tomorrow. From her earliest years, she already displayed an eagerness to learn and excel. At daycare, she was recognized as “Most Outstanding”, a spark that only grew brighter through the years. In every grade level she stepped into, Raiza carried with her an unwavering dedication to her studies. She became a consistent honor student, valedictorian, and awardee in Filipino, Math, and Science. But more than her academic medals, it was her humility and sincerity that made her truly remarkable.

Teachers and classmates describe her as “quiet yet brilliant, hardworking yet humble.” One classmate even said, “Idol ko si Raiza. Siya na ata ang may lahat: talino, talento, ganda, at puso.” Her teachers echo the same sentiment, calling her an inspiration and a reason why they remain steadfast in their calling as educators.

Yet Raiza’s excellence is not confined to the four walls of the classroom. She is deeply rooted in faith and service. A member of the LECOM and Commentators Ministry, Youth for Christ, and her church choir, she uses her voice not just to sing, but to spread hope and faith. She reads the Word of God during Mass, joins Flores de Mayo, and even helps clean their parish—living proof that faith is best shown through action.

In her barangay, she serves as a youth leader in Sitio Malbog, an active member of the KASARANG Youth Federation, and a participant in SK-led initiatives such as tree planting, coastal clean-ups, and youth symposiums. These roles mirror her belief that even at a young age, one can already be a role model of service and compassion.

At home, Raiza is a loving daughter and sister. She helps with household chores, assists her younger sibling in studies, and shares simple joys with her family through music sessions at home. Her mother, Reny Rose, describes her as “masunuring anak, mapagmahal na ate, at maalalahanin.”

For Raiza, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) has been more than financial aid—it became a bridge of hope. Through the program, she was able to secure her school needs, relieve some of her parents’ burdens, and most importantly, strengthen her belief in the value of education. “Ang pagiging benepisyaryo ng 4Ps ay hindi lang tulong-pinansyal—ito ay naging daan sa pagbabagong pisikal, emosyonal, at moral sa aking buhay,” she shared.

Now recognized as the 2025 Regional Exemplary 4Ps Child of MIMAROPA, Raiza stands not only as a student achiever but as a beacon for every child who dares to dream despite life’s challenges. Her story is a testament that poverty is never a limitation but a stepping stone to greatness when met with faith, hard work, and determination.

Her journey is far from over. With her heart full of purpose and her spirit guided by service, Raiza Mae Montaño is bound to reach even greater heights—carrying with her the voice of every child from humble beginnings who longs for a brighter future.

As her light shines beyond Sitio Malbog, one thing is clear: Raiza is not just an achiever—she is an inspiration.
