IN PHOTOS | To evaluate the progress in the implementation and ensure the attainment of its 2025 targets and commitments, the DSWD Field Office MIMAROPA, conducted the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Implementation Review 2025 and 2026-Year Starter Planning Workshop from October 14 to 17, 2025 in Manila.

Spearheaded by the SLP Regional Program Management Office, the 4-day activity further aimed to review program accomplishments, revisit operational guidelines, identify challenges, and develop responsive strategies to enhance the efficiency and impact of SLP implementation across the MIMAROPA provinces.

DSWD MIMAROPA Director III and Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Sheila S. Tapia graced the event and commended the efforts of the program staff in achieving their 2025 milestones. She also lauded the awardees recognized by the National Program Management Office (NPMO) for their exemplary performance and dedication to advancing the program’s agenda. She encouraged the team to turn challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation in next year’s implementation.

The session served as a venue to align strategies, address operational issues, and strengthen program convergence to ensure a seamless transition of 4Ps households toward sustainable livelihoods.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in discussions, analyses, and planning sessions covering program deliverables, financial and physical accomplishments, data and cybersecurity awareness, and refresher courses on Memorandum Circular No. 03 – the comprehensive guide for SLP implementation and monitoring.

One of the activity’s highlights was the joint session with the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), focusing on the integration of 2026 program targets. 4Ps Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Magno Parada presented the data on potential 4Ps beneficiaries per province who may qualify for SLP interventions.

The event concluded with the Regional Gawad Sulong awarding ceremony, which recognized outstanding staff, SLP associations, and partner stakeholders for their invaluable contributions to the success of the program.

Nine (9) Project Development Officers were also honored as regional winners of the Sibol Writing Contest Cycles 1 and 2, with three (3) national finalists: Fatima Concepcion P. Pelaez (Marinduque), Daisy D. Badillo (Oriental Mindoro), and Honey Grace S. Rogan (Occidental Mindoro).

The SLP Implementation Review and 2026-Year Starter Planning Workshop not only served as a platform for evaluation and planning but also a collaborative space where DSWD programs reaffirmed their shared commitment to uplift poor, disadvantaged, and vulnerable communities across MIMAROPA through sustainable livelihoods and inclusive development.
