The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office MIMAROPA showcased its accomplishments in the implementation of the Risk Resiliency Program (RRP) during the National Planning for CY 2026 held in Malay, Aklan on December 1–5, 2025.
For CY 2025, DSWD MIMAROPA successfully supported 3,500 partner-beneficiaries through the conduct of Cash for Training and Work amounting to Php 27,965,000. Through these interventions, the Field Office facilitated the establishment of 59 LAWA sites—including Small Farm Reservoirs, Rehabilitation of Spring Sources of Water, and Community Irrigation Canals—and 119 BINHI sites, such as Communal Gardens, Coffee Tree Nurseries, and Mangrove Planting areas across the region.
The Field Office also contributed to planning sessions by sharing on-the-ground insights to strengthen and improve program implementation nationwide.
DSWD MIMAROPA earned 2nd place in the “QuizBeeda Ka” activity and recognition during the Alab ng Puso Awards Night for its outstanding implementation of Project LAWA at BINHI for CY 2025 received by RRP Regional Focal, Rainheart Arce and Mary Nicole Fabular.
