The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office MIMAROPA has recorded a high level of accomplishment in the implementation of the Cash Relief Assistance (CRA) for qualified tricycle drivers across the region.

Within six days of payout operations, a total of 23,379 beneficiaries have received financial assistance under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, amounting to ₱116,895,000.00. This represents a 93.05% accomplishment rate out of the 25,124 targeted beneficiaries, reflecting the efficient and timely delivery of government services.

The initiative is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to ensure the prompt and effective provision of assistance to tricycle drivers affected by the ongoing energy emergency, which continues to impact fuel prices and daily livelihoods.

According to DSWD MIMAROPA Regional Director Benchie B. Gonzales, the strong turnout and high accomplishment rate demonstrate the agency’s commitment to responsive and inclusive service delivery.

“The results of this rollout reflect our continued commitment to deliver timely and responsive assistance to those who need it most. We remain focused on ensuring that every qualified beneficiary is reached, especially those affected by the current energy emergency,” Gonzales said.

The final payout for the region is scheduled to take place in Lubang, Occidental Mindoro on April 24, 2026, marking the completion of the series of distribution activities across MIMAROPA.

Meanwhile, the schedule for the payout of unpaid beneficiaries from earlier distributions will be finalized and announced before the end of April to ensure that no eligible recipient is left unserved.

DSWD MIMAROPA continues to strengthen coordination with local government units and partner agencies to ensure the smooth implementation of the program and to address the needs of affected sectors in a timely manner.
