Regional GFPS Chairperson

  • Issue policies or other directives that support GAD mainstreaming in the policies, plans, programs, projects and activities, budget, systems, and procedures of the Field Office including the creation, strengthening, modification, or reconstitution of the GFPS;
  • Approve the GPB of the Field Office as duly endorsed by the ExeCom, with the assistance of the TWG, and ensure its implementation

Regional GFPS TWG Members

  • Facilitate the implementation of the gender mainstreaming efforts of the Regional Office through the GAD planning and budgeting process;

Formulate Regional Office GAD Plans, Programs and Budget in response to the gender gaps and issues faced by their clients and constituencies, women and men employees, following the conduct of a gender audit, gender analysis, and/or review of sex-disaggregated data;

  • Assist in the capacity development of and provide technical assistance to the Regional Office, and as needed, to officers in the other offices or units. In this regard, the RGFPS-TWG shall work closely with the Human Resource Management and Development Division on the development and implementation of an appropriate capacity development program on gender equality and women’s empowerment for its employees, and as requested or deemed necessary, for other offices under the Regional Office, as the case may be;
  • Coordinate with the various units of the Regional Office including its regional and attached agencies and ensure their meaningful participation in GAD strategic and annual planning exercises.
  • Lead the conduct of advocacy activities and the development of IEC materials in coordination with the Regional Information Officer to ensure critical support of Regional Office officials, staff, and relevant stakeholders to the activities of the GAD Focal Point System and GAD mainstreaming activities;
  • Monitor the implementation of GAD-related programs, activities, and projects in their respective offices and suggest corrective measures to improve the implementation of GAD PAPs and GPS activities;
  • Provide gender-sensitive and responsive insights and recommendations to the research requests received by the Field Office and to the FO-initiated research activities and proposals.
  • Prepare and consolidate Regional Office GAD accomplishment reports through strengthened monitoring and evaluation (M&E) mechanisms such as maintenance of updated sex-disaggregated data and information and analysis of gender disparity based on gender gaps;
  • Mainstream good practices and innovations along gender mainstreaming by inserting gender-perspective lens along program-level implementation and organizational excellence.
  • Identify GAD-prospect projects, programs and activities that can be nominated for the GADLens Award during PRAISE Ceremonies

Regional GAD/ Sectoral Focal

  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the Regional Director and to the Regional Management Committee on the progress of agency GAD mainstreaming activities based on the results of technical assistance, capacity building activities and monitoring of GPBs;
  • Lead in the conduct of annual assessment on gender mainstreaming (GPB Workshop, GMEF Assessment, etc) and conduct monitoring of the implementation of GAD-related activities in their respective offices and suggest corrective measures in its implementation;
  • Attend and participate in gender mainstreaming activities of inter-agency committees.
