Data Sharing is the last phase of the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTSPR) cycle where the generated data may be made available to various stakeholders involved in social protection such as labor market interventions, social insurance, social safety nets and social welfare.

National Household Targeting Unit (NHTU) of Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IV-MiMaRoPa encourages more National Government Agencies (NGAs), Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Peoples Organizations (POs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Data Sharing and use NHTSPR data of poor households in identifying beneficiaries of their social protection programs.

Regional Project Manager Dir. Wilma D. Naviamos says, “This year we are targeting 25 more stakeholders and we will give focus on our advocacy campaign to attract more partner agencies and LGUs to enter into a MOA with the department.”

As of December 2012, DSWD IV- B has a total of 21 MOA with LGUs and NGAs. The municipalities of Gasan in Marinduque and Sta. Maria, Romblon have recently submitted MOA for partnership to support the implementation of NHTSPR project.

The NHTU shares data depending on the need of the data users.

Moreover, Executive Order No. 867 signed by Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo issued last March 2010 has directed all NGAs to adopt the result of NHTSPR in identifying potential beneficiaries for their social protection programs.

NHTSPR was able to assess 513,759 households across the five provinces of MiMaRoPa with 242, 633 identified poor households or equivalent to 1, 359, 280 poor individuals. ###
