MALATE, Manila City — The DSWD Field Office MIMAROPA, through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) conducts training for its City/Municipal Links and Project Development Officers to improve their communication and partnership skills.

Through the training entitled “Skills Enhancement on Effective Communication and Partnership with New Program Partners/Stakeholders” different topics were discussed to help the Pantawid Pamilya staff improve their skills in communicating the program with partners and in creating good rapport with the different stakeholders.

The said training has four batches where two legs of the activity were already conducted in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro on May 4-6, 2022 and in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro on May 24-26, 2022.

Speakers from partner organizations such as Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) also joined the Pantawid Pamilya Information Officer and Institutional Partnership Officer in the loop of resource person during the Oriental and Occidental Mindoro training. Ms. Matilde Myla Monsod of DSWD Social Marketing Service also joined the Oriental Mindoro leg via online platform where she talked about the importance of creating and maintaining relationship with the media partners.

The remaining two batches will be conducted on June 21-23, 2022 in Odiongan, Romblon and June 28-30, 2022 in Puerto Princesa, City.

At the end of the activity legs, a total of 72 City/Municipal Links and Project Development Officers are expected to be trained by the Pantawid Pamilya.

The Pantawid Pamilya is a program of the national government that aims to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty through the provision of conditional cash grants to qualified poor Filipino households to support the education of their children and ensure that family members are in good health. ###
