Acknowledging the critical role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in working closely with the government, the Standards Unit (SU) of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA conducted field validation and accreditation to the Sustainable Livelihood Program’s CSO beneficiaries of Marinduque last November 7, 2017.

A total of 18 CSOs from various barangays of Boac, Marinduque were validated for their existence and eligibility to the funding support of the agency.

SLP CSO focal Mr. Juan Paolo Mendoza and Standards Unit Administrative Assistant Ms. Abbie Mae Engracial took a personal interaction to the various SLPA leaders to get first hand data from the field. Beneficiaries’ queries were also answered during the conversations.

CSO accreditation is an activity in compliance to the joint resolution no 2015-001 of the Commission of Audit, Department of Budget and Management and the Department of Social Welfare and Development to ensure that the CSO beneficiaries has a distinct legal personality.
