PALAWAN – A family camp designed for the partner-beneficiaries of Modified Conditional Cash Transfer for Indigenous People (MCCT-IP) was conducted last March 29-30, 2016 in the municipality of Brooke’s Point with a total of 310 participants. With the theme “Katutubong Pilipino, Kayang Ituloy ang Pagbabago”, the activity aims to demonstrate stronger relationship and family ties through different activities.

The two-day activity brought the family members together to spend quality time through the various sessions prepared. Discussions on the rights of children, parenting as well as activities on arts, sports, health and wellness were held. It also served as an opportunity for the IP partner-beneficiaries particularly children to showcase their talents thru a cultural night/talent show.

One of the highlights of the activity was the ceremonial signing of the “Beneficiaries Dream Board” that gave them an opportunity to express their desire for a positive and continuous change in their lives.

The “Dream Board” will serve as a reminder to the program implementers and stakeholders to continuously work towards the upliftment of the partner-beneficiaries’ quality of life.

The same family camp will be conducted in selected municipalities of the provinces of Mindoro and Romblon. ###
