The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office MIMAROPA has served a total of 55,947 family food packs (FFPs) to 51 Local Government Units (LGUs) and 310 Hygiene Kits to four LGUs.

As part of the agency’s continuous augmentation to the most affected families and individuals due to pandemic caused by COVID-19, the Central Office allocated 5,000 Non-Food Items (NFI) Hygiene Kits for the Indigenous People under the supervision of National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP). On the said augmentation, 3,414 Hygiene Kits were delivered to five LGUs in Occidental Mindoro, six LGUs in Oriental Mindoro, two LGUs in Romblon and two LGUs in Palawan.

Furthermore, DSWD MIMAROPA through the Disaster Response and Management Division (DRMD) provided 4,180 FFPs to the reported 4,152 Displaced Workers, Stranded Tourist and Student, and LSIs. They were served thru the Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department.

Also, as part of our augmentation to serve the continuous arrival of LSIs in the region, DSWD MIMAROPA provided three Family Tents in the Municipality of Linapacan that will serve as additional temporary shelter of LSIs during their quarantine period and ten Kitchen Kits to the Municipality of Alcantara to be used by the LGUs to provide cooked meals to the clients.

A total amount of Php34,685,161.33)augmented to 57 unduplicated LGUs and affected individuals/families in the Region.
