Book cover of the Regional Profile of the Poor in MIMAROPA.

MALATE, Manila – The digital publication of the statistical Profile of the Poor based on the DSWD Listahanan third-round household assessment or L3, is now available for online access and download.

The Regional Profile of the Poor is a 300-page book that contains the results of the L3 household assessment and focuses on relevant statistical information about the features and socio-economic status of the identified poor households in MIMAROPA.

“The publication of this Profile of the Poor is a way to show our gratitude and commitment to our social protection development partners and stakeholders in the region, adhering to our Department’s mantra of “Maagap at Mapagkalingang Serbisyo saan man sa MIMAROPA” in the delivery of our programs and services to the poor and vulnerable communities,” said DSWD Regional Director Leonardo C. Reynoso.

This ready reference is a tool kit packaged for advocacy and collections of data for local planning and budgeting references, local investments and programming, academic research literature on social sciences and economics, and ultimately the official registry of the poor as the potential list of beneficiaries of various social protection programs.

The said profile can be accessed through the DSWD regional website thru this link: https://fo4b.dswd.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Profile-of-the-Poor-%E2%80%93-MIMAROPA-Region.pdf.

“This Listahanan 3 Profile of the Poor can cross-validate and complement other existing poverty databases such as the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) of the local governments and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) official poverty statistics and related databases,” Director Reynoso added.

Listahanan is the government’s mechanism that identifies who and where the poor are. According to its latest database, exactly 193,467 households, or 30% of the total 651,884 assessed are identified as poor in MIMAROPA. ###
