MALATE, Manila – Beneficiaries from the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) generated a compounded sales of P108,690.00 during the one-day trade fair in four (4) MIMAROPA provinces as part of the agency’s 72nd Founding Anniversary celebration.

The trade fair in Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, and Palawan slated last March 17, 22, 23, and 28 respectively, is aimed to showcase products made by the SLP beneficiaries and help them market their crafts to garner a broader market. It featured products such as traditional and processed food, handicrafts, native items, innovative merchandise, and agricultural products.

SLP Palawan achieves the highest product sales of P 47,062.00

 

“We are very grateful to our Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) who participated in the trade fair, exhibited, and sold their products in the recently concluded 72nd founding anniversary weeklong celebration in the provinces of the MIMAROPA Region. We attribute the success of the event to their great contribution. We hope that the amount earned at the trade fair will help the associations create more products and enable help more members to sustain their needs.

Also, we are thankful to our colleagues in the department who led this activity, first in our Regional Program Management Office and most of all to the Provincial Coordinators and Project Development Officers in the provinces of MIMAROPA. Other activities conducted during the anniversary celebration were onsite job fair, information drive to spread public awareness of various DSWD programs/services, and awarding to recognize the exemplary and significant contributions of the DSWD personnel.
