MANILA — True to its commitment to provide a more efficient and safe transaction account for cash grants distribution and other financial transactions for its beneficiaries, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Field Office MIMAROPA conducted a 4-day training for Parent Leaders (PLs) on financial literacy, particularly on handling transaction accounts, on March 21-24, 2023 at the Madison 101 Hotel + Tower, Manila.
The activity is a response to the recent Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) and DSWD which includes processes that the 4Ps beneficiaries must solely facilitate their transaction accounts instead of the regional office. As such, the beneficiaries must be provided with accurate and correct information about these processes and services for them to be more aware and empowered to voluntarily fix or settle their accounts to receive their grants on time.
For them to understand these various cash grants-related processes, the PLs will serve as the link to provide detailed information to their co-beneficiaries.
“Makakaasa po kayo na maihahatid namin ang aming mga natutunan sa bawat benepisyaryo sa amin pong mga probinsya. Sobrang thankful po kaming lahat ng PLs sa aming mga Municipal Links (MLs) dahil sa dinami-rami ng PLs ay kami ang napili na makadalo sa ganitong training,” Mayren D. Faa, a PL of Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, expressed during the closing program.
Since then, the PLs have been helping the field implementers to hasten the dissemination of information about the program through conducting meetings with their cluster groups and home visits to their group members.
“Isa sa dahilan kung bakit kami nagpapatuloy—kumbaga, ang fuel sa passion namin sa pagtatrabaho ay kayo. Salamat sa patuloy na pag-assist sa aming mga MLs, MRBs, at SWAs sa pagtulong sa inyong kapwa benepisyaryo,” OIC-RPC Jan Veronica O. Arapeles said.
“Sabi nga, bayani ang mga PLs ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Progam. Patuloy [pa rin] sana ninyong isaisip, isapuso at isabuhay ang inyong mga natutunan, hindi lamang para sa sarili, kundi para sa bawat Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino at sa mga nagpapatupad nito,” she added.
