The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of DSWD MIMAROPA successfully conducted a check awarding ceremony on August 10, 2023, for the sixty-four (64) Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro. 

A total livelihood grant amounting to Php 8,469,160.00 was received by the SLPAs represented by their officers. In addition to this, twenty-one (21) SLPAs have received their checks with a total amount of Php 2,670,510.00 last July 25, 2023. 

The activity was graced by Vice Mayor Newton John Moreno and SB Councilor Steve Atayde, representing the local government unit (LGU) of San Teodoro, Ms. Sarah Magboo, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (PSWDO), SLP Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Mr. Alberto S. Orpiada, and SLP Oriental Mindoro Provincial Coordinator Marites C. Pones.

The event’s highlight was the symbolic awarding of checks to the President and Treasurer of each of the sixty-four (64) SLPAs which represent a financial boost intended to catalyze the successful implementation of their proposed livelihood projects. 

Demonstrating their commitment, the Presidents, and Treasurers of the SLPAs promptly deposited their checks at the Bangko Rural ng San Teodoro, Inc., which showcased their dedication to transforming financial assistance into tangible progress and growth.
