DSWD MIMAROPA through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Provincial Offices participated in the simultaneous Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) Para sa Manggagawa in Odiongan, Romblon, Calapan, Oriental Mindoro, and Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro last April 29 to May 3, 2024.

The KNP, organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Office of Provincial Agriculture, and local government units in celebration of Labor Day.

Program participants proudly displayed various products made by the five (5) participating SLP associations namely Cabulotan Food Cravings SLPA, Healthy Shine Barcenaga SLPA, Malabo Dried Fish SLPA, Lakas Bisig SLPA, and Magandang Buhay SLPA, and seven (7) individual program participants. 

Several products that were showcased include different types of vegetables, fruits, fried fish, raw honey, pasalubong delicacies, and handicrafts.

As a result of KNP, program participants earned a combined sales of  Php 38,131.00 from the three provinces where it was held.

With the aim of providing access to quality and affordable basic commodities while providing direct market access to micro-enterprises, the KNP is a great help for the SLP participants to better recognize and vend their locally made products which will help them become a positive self-sustaining force achieving sustainability and upscaling of products.
