In line with the closing activities and the preparation of the Terminal Report for the Kapit-bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services National Community-Driven Development Program Additional Financing (KALAHI-CIDSS NCDDP AF) DSWD MIMAROPA conducted pilot testing of Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) on July 9, 2024, with the Area Coordinating Teams (ACTs) at St. Giles Hotel Makati, and from July 10-12, 2024, with the Municipal Coordinating Teams (MCTs) and Community Volunteers (CVs) in Abra de Ilog and Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro.

The FGDs and KIIs include a qualitative evaluation to determine the impact and effectiveness of the program’s interventions based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The activities focus on evaluating the outcomes of the training and technical sessions provided under the NCDDP-AF Project to the ACTs, MCTs, and CVs. They also capture the effects of the interventions and projects granted by KALAHI-CIDSS on the lives of the staff and their personal development.

Two methodologies were used based on guidelines from the KALAHI-CIDSS National Program Management Office. The first is the Focus Group Discussion (FGD), consisting of eight to ten participants from three groups: ACTs, CVs, and MCTs. The second methodology is the Key Informant Interview (KII), a one-on-one interview with a member of the ACTs, CVs, and MCTs.

The collected results will be treated with confidentiality and are expected to contribute to the continuous development of future program guidelines and the creation of better projects that will benefit more Filipinos.##
