Pregnant and lactating mothers patiently wait in line for their turn to be called during the i-Rehistro updating in Brgy. Tarusan, Bataraza, Palawan.
BATARAZA, Palawan – At least 461 pregnant and lactating mothers (PLM) from the DSWD Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) successfully enrolled in i-Registro, February 24-27, 2025 in this municipality.
With their records updated, these beneficiaries are set to receive additional First 1000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grants in the next payout cycle.
i-Registro is an online platform designed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to streamline the updating and management of 4Ps beneficiary records.
It enables members, particularly pregnant and lactating mothers, to update their status and secure the correct conditional cash grants.
“The additional ₱350.00 conditional cash grant for eligible pregnant women and children up to two years old serves as financial aid to support proper nutrition, health services, and early child development, helping reduce stunting and malnutrition,” said DSWD MIMAROPA Regional Director Leonardo Reynoso.
The regional director emphasized that the additional grants aim to promote a culture of health-seeking behavior among beneficiaries and are not intended to encourage continued pregnancy.
This strategy is expected to improve awareness of the importance of health and nutrition during the critical first 1,000 days of a child’s life.
For Jay-i Doro, a mother of three from Barangay Tarusan, the additional cash grants will greatly help in ensuring her one-year-old child’s health and nutrition.
“Sa kagaya kong ina, malaking tulong ito. Sisiguraduhin kong magiging mas malusog ang anak ko sa pamamagitan ng kumpletong pagpapabakuna at regular na pagpapacheck-up,” she said.
As of today, 205,155 households are actively enrolled in 4Ps across the MIMAROPA region. In Palawan alone, 82,664 households benefit from the program, including 7,992 in the municipality of Bataraza.
4Ps is a conditional cash transfer initiative aimed at improving the health, nutrition, and education of poor households, particularly children and pregnant women.
A 4Ps beneficiary receives a text confirmation of her successful information update in the i-Rehistro portal.
On the other hand, DSWD encourages active 4Ps members to use the self-service online portal to update their records through https://iregistro-4ps.dswd.gov.ph/.
“With their phone and internet, members who are pregnant and with 0-24-month-old children may update their status online, supported with documents such as a medical certificate confirming pregnancy, vaccination booklet for children, Nanay and Baby Book, and birth certificate,” added Director Reynoso.
The pilot implementation was carried out with the support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) through its Municipal Social Welfare Office, along with the DSWD National Household Targeting Office and the Bataraza Municipal Action Team.
