The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office (DSWD) MIMAROPA presented updates on the Panahon ng Pagkilos: Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP) during the Regional Development Council (RDC) MIMAROPA first-quarter full council meeting on March 7, 2025, at The Heritage Hotel Manila in Pasay City.
PCRP was initially presented to the Social Development Committee (SDC) MIMAROPA in February 2025 by DSWD MIMAROPA Regional Director Leonardo C. Reynoso and KALAHI-CIDSS Deputy Regional Program Manager (DRPM) Raymond B. Libarra.
Following its endorsement by the SDC, the RDC granted its approval, bringing the project closer to full-scale implementation across the region.
During the RDC full council meeting, Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Shiela S. Tapia and DRPM Libarra actively participated in discussions, reaffirming DSWD MIMAROPA’s commitment to the project’s implementation and ensuring effective coordination across the region.
“DSWD MIMAROPA is grateful for the RDC’s support in the successor program of KALAHI-CIDSS, the Panahon ng Pagkilos: PH Community Resilience Project of the DSWD. True to our commitment, we will continue empowering communities to build disaster-resilient sub-projects based on their identified needs” Director Shiela S. Tapia said.
The Panahon ng Pagkilos serves as the successor program to KALAHI-CIDSS, aiming to strengthen community capacities for participatory planning and implement resilient investments in vulnerable areas.
