MALATE, Manila— The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)MiMaRoPa in coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines is set to deliver the first allocation of relief goods to Typhoon“Ruby”-affected families in Romblon province tomorrow.

A total of 4,300 food packs will be distributed to 2,980 affected families in the municipalities of Concepcion, Banton, Corcuera, San Fernando, Cajidiocan and Magdiwang. Family food pack contains 6kgs of rice, 4 canned sardines, 4 canned corned beef, 6 pouchesof instant mami noodles and 6pouches of coffee.

The first allocation of relief good amounted to Php1, 548,000.Subsequent allocation of goods will be delivered this week. Aside from the said allocations, there are 3,388 food packs in Batangas and Cavite warehouses ready for pull out.

DSWD ensures immediate distribution of relief goods to the affected areas. A team from the department along with the Municipal Quick Response Team of respective municipalities will facilitate the distribution of the above goods.###
