The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the the Beneficiary FIRST (BFIRST) Project Management Unit (PMU), Agency Operations Service (AOS), and the Information and Communication Technology Management Service (ICTMS) has concluded the National Users’ Training on Integrated Grievance Redress Management System (IGRMS) held in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan from August 7-9, 2024.
Grievance officers/ focal persons from the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), Human Resource Management Development Division (HRMDD), and the Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD) convened in Palawan to participate and complete the training roll-out.
The activity aims to capacitate DSWD personnel handling the Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD), concerns under Human Resource (HR), Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), and Disaster-related concerns on the utilization of the IGRMS based on the approved guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
In his message, DSWD Assistant Secretary Juan Carlo V. Marquez emphasize that amidst challenges and difficulties, the Department in the process of applying IGRMS guidelines and procedures in its respective programs.
The IGRMS is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to uphold transparency and accountability in the way we manage our programs and services he added.
The training sessions covered various aspects of the IGRMS, including its functionality, benefits, and implementation strategies, hands-on activities and discussions, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use the system.
Further, IGRMS aims to unify all grievance systems within the Department into a single platform, enabling efficient monitoring, systematic complaint resolution, and data generation for policy and program development.
This centralized digital system is designed to streamline the process of addressing grievances, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and effectively while generating valuable data to inform future policies and programs.
The National Users’ Training on IGRMS reflects the DSWD’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its capacity in addressing grievances, ensure transparency and accountability, and improving service delivery nationwide.#
