PAGBIBIGAY NG TULONG SA GITNA NG PANDEMYA.Makikitang striktong sinusunod ng kliyente maging ng social worker ang mga health protocol na ibinaba ng Department of Health tulad ng paglalagay ng barrier at pagsusuot ng facemask at face shield upang makaiwas sa COVID19.
Mula Hunyo hanggang Setyembre ngayong taon, may kabuuang bilang nang 3,347 ang nabigyang tulong ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA sa ilalim ng programa nitong Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) sa buong rehiyon.
Ang AICS ay isa sa mga component ng Protective Services Program ng DSWD. Sa ilalim nito, nagbibigay ng tulong pang-edukasyon, tulong medikal, tulong pamasahe, tulong pampalibing, at maging ang probisyon ng pagkain at iba pang kagamitan para sa mga mahihirap na Pilipinong nakararanas o apektado ng krisis.
Umabot na sa PhP 17,546,350.00 ang kabuuang halaga ng naipamahagi sa mga nangangailangan. PhP 138,000.00 sa ilalim ng tulong pang-edukasyon, PhP 11,451,450.00 sa tulong medikal, PhP 720,400.00 sa tulong pamasahe, PhP 2,504,500.00 sa tulong pampalibing, PhP 36,400.00 sa probisyon ng pagkain, PhP 231,600.00 sa non-food items, at PhP 2,464,000.00 sa ilalim ng iba pang uri ng cash assistance.
Bagamat kasalukuyang nahaharap ang bansa sa isang pandemya, patuloy ang pagtupad ng DSWD MIMAROPA sa sinumpaan nitong tungkulin na makapagbigay ng kalinga at malasakit sa mga mahihirap at bulnerableng Pilipino.
“Ang DSWD, katuwang ang iba pang ahensya ng pamahalaan ay tulong-tulong upang maisagawa ang mga programa at serbisyo na tumutugon sa pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan,” ani OIC-Regional Director Purificacion Arriola.
