Identified Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries participated in an 11-day irrigation cleaning in their respective municipalities to remove blockage and ease out the flow of water to their farms. “It has been years since the last time we cleaned the irrigation system, this project will not only benefit our farm but also provide a temporary source of livelihood to our Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries,” said Samuel Rondera, President of Irrigators Association in Marinduque.

Municipal Social Welfare Officer of Mogpog, Edna Dumlao said that the project was of huge help to the betterment of their irrigation system, “sana magkaroon pa ng mga susunod na ganitiong proyekto, maliking tulong sa komunidad namin at ganun na din sa mga benepisyaryo,” Dumlao said.

DSWD converged with the Department of Agriculture and the National Irrigation Authority for the realization of the said project.
