Makati, Metro Manila – After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office MIMAROPA (DSWD FO MIMAROPA), through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), was all set and brought back various social marketing activities to showcase the influence of convergence and harmony within 4Ps; its beneficiaries and partners. Hence, the Regional Search for Pantawid Pamilya Exemplary Children was conducted last June 27, 2023 at the Makati Palace Hotel, Makati, Metro Manila. 

Five (5) contenders from the  MIMAROPA provinces competed for the title “2023 Pantawid Exemplary Child” that will showcase their talents, skills, wit, and intelligence during the panel interview, talent portion, and question and answer portion. 

After a breath-taking 30 minutes of deliberation, Hannah Mae C. Daquer of Roxas, Palawan was announced as the grand champion. She bested the other four finalists with three other special awards in Best in Q&A, Best in Columbian Attire, and Best in Talent.

Paola Dahnille A. Marco of Pola, Oriental Mindoro was declared first runner-up and got the Photogenic award while Princess Nicole L. Langamin of Mogpog, Marinduque won 2nd runner-up. Meanwhile, Nerberth D. Dimaangay of Looc, Romblon was the 3rd runner-up. The Best in Provincial Attire was awarded to Honey Grace Alexa E. Provido of Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro who won 4th runner-up.

Further, the activity aims to recognize exemplary 4Ps children who serve as an embodiment of resilient, persevering and champion of their respective households, schools, and/ or communities. It also aims to encourage children to be active citizens performing beyond just complying with the conditions of the program. It will eventually develop exemplary children-beneficiaries as advocates of the program and its thrusts in health and education.

Thus, Hannah Mae will be the local/provincial/regional/national ambassador especially on children’s rights specifically to health and education. She will be attending press conferences and radio/TV (local) programs/guestings for 4Ps. She will also serve as the brand image of 4Ps for audio-visual presentations, radio plugs, and photo shoots, and will deliver messages/speeches for activities pertaining or relevant to children’s right health and education.
