SAN JOSE, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO | President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., leads the distribution of various government assistance to more than 2,000 beneficiaries in the Municipality of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro as he visits the Province on April 23, 2024.

Together with the President, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian distributed financial assistance under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program to more than 1,800 farmers from the towns of Magsaysay and San Jose, amounting to Php9,030,000.00 and 96 Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) participants who will each receive a seed capital fund of Php 15,000.00.

DSWD Undersecretary Monina Josefina “Pinky” Romualdez, DSWD Assistant Secretary Florentino Y. Loyola, Jr., and DSWD MIMAROPA Assistant Regional Director for Administration Teresita L. Valentino were also present to witness the activity.

Aside from the DSWD, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Agriculture (DA) Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) also distributed scholarship grants, fishing boats, water pumps, and other equipments that can be used by the affected beneficiaries.
