Solo Parents attended various lectures which heightened their knowledge and awareness about Solo Parenting.

DSWD acknowledges the special needs of Solo Parents who are vulnerable to psychological, physical and emotional anxieties which may due to: intense painful experience because of loss or separation from a partner; financial difficulties; higher demand of rearing children alone; and stigma inflicted by our society.

Thus, being the forefront government agency in promoting social protection, DSWD established the MiMaRoPa-Solo Parents Association in order to provide effective, efficient and sustainable support for their Solo Parent Employees. ###
