3,850 RCCT beneficiaries lined-up to receive payout from April and May 2017 in Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro

Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro – Almost four thousand Regular Conditional Cash Transfer (RRCT) beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program gathered in the gymnasium of Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro on August 23, 2017 to receive their cash grant for April and May 2017.

The program has released a total of P8,283,000.00 from the funded budget of P8,302,800.00 for the 3,850 households as 10 beneficiaries did not show up during the payout. The beneficiaries came from the 17 barangays of Mansalay which are Brgy. B. Del Mundo, Brgy. Balugo, Brgy. Bonbon, Brgy. Budburan, Brgy. Cabalwa, Brgy. Don Pedro, Brgy. Maliwanag, Brgy. Manaul, Brgy. Panaytayan, Brgy. Poblacion, Brgy. Roma, Brgy. Santa Brigida, Brgy. Santa Maria, Brgy. Villa Celestial, Brgy. Wasig, and Brgy. Waygan.

On August 22, 2017, the program has already released P1,460,800.00 for the 705 MCCT beneficiaries of Mansalay on the same venue.

The Banco Alabang, Inc., which is a consolidation of the Rural Bank of Alabang, Inc. in Muntinlupa and Rural Bank of Mansalay in Oriental Mindoro, has helped the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) in the distribution of the cash grants. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has long been partnering with LBP and other rural banks to oversee the distribution of the cash grants to beneficiaries.

Last February, the contracts of the LBP’s conduit has been terminated hence the delay in the process of distribution for beneficiaries without LBP Cash Card of First Consolidated Bank-Pitakard. ###
